The Beekeepers Association of Rowan County (BARC) offers Beekeeping School annually. This is a perfect way for those interested in beekeeping to learn everything they need to get started, and get connected with a mentor to increase their chances of success.
BARC members are available to provide beekeeping presentations to local schools and other organizations. Contact us at BARC if you have a group that is interested in learning about beekeeping!
Our monthly meetings consist of educational presentations by experienced beekeepers, as well as fellowship with a supportive community. Local membership is only $10/year.
BARC attends local festivals and events to educate the public about the importance of bees and beekeeping. We also offer local honey and bee products to the public.
